With YOUR help, we are able to feed more than 18,000 meals each month.
Every day, thousands of orphans die from starvation around the world. Currently there is a global food crisis and experts are predicting a famine in Haiti's near future. In Haiti and in many countries, for as little as 50 cents a day, a child can receive the nutritious meals they need to survive. Here's a little more about how Danita's Children is working to address this enormous need.

When Danita first arrived in Haiti, January 1999, her heart was
moved to tears while watching street children begging for a scrap of
food, digging in the garbage, and eating anything to soothe their
hunger pains. Her heart was broken by their great need, birt
hing in her
a desire to feed the Haitian children on a consistent basis.
Danita found it difficult to know how to begin making a difference. In December 1999, with very limited financial resources, she accomplished her first goal of opening an orp
hanage. Later, she opened a Christian school. Once again, her heart broke as she saw the great hunger of the children attending her school. Obviously their hunger prevented them from learning. She was determined to find a way to fee d them, along with the orphans already in her care.
By 2002, Danita's Children was able to establish a breakthrough feeding program.
Currently, over 18,000 meals are prepared and served each month through our cafeteria and feeding programs.
Through faithful friends and partners, we are reaching the children of Haiti, one by one. Together we can make a difference and bring them hope.
