My Audacious Dream
With little more than a few suitcases and a willing heart ten years ago I set out to pursue an audacious dream.
I knew what God had put in my heart. I wasn’t quite sure how it would, or could, all come together. Many of my friends and family were supportive. But there were a few who told me it was impossible for a young American woman, all alone to make that dream a reality. However, I knew in my heart that “everything is possible for him who believes.” (Mark 9:23) And so I started. With 14 orphans and a rented house, my audacious dream of taking care of orphaned children in Haiti became a reality.

In May 2009, through God’s grace, my audacious dream once again became reality. Guervens, a sweet, shy, very thin 4-year-old orphaned boy, became the newest member of our Danita’s Children family.
He has sickle-cell anemia and appears to have been very malnourished. I believe that with the love and care of our home and staff, this little boy will thrive and come to know and understand the saving love of our heavenly Father.
I am able to take in children like Guervens because with God’s help you have helped me make my audacious dream a reality. This little boy is just one example of the thousands of children in Haiti who desperately need your support and that I want to help save.
Our Won-by-One sponsorship program is one way you can help provide for the many needs of these children. Your monthly gift provides a child like Gelvens with food, clothing, shelter, an education and the opportunity to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
For children like Guervens, just $29/month can mean the difference between life and death. Your support each month keeps this audacious dream alive.
From my heart I want to thank you.
