What some of our sponsors have to say...

Two years ago a couple contacted our offices requesting information on child sponsorship. Crystal and Andrew Atteberry of Nashville, Tennessee, had recently become aware of the work at Danita’s Children and were interested in what they could do to help.
"I found Danita's Children to be one of the noblest causes that I'd ever come across," says Andrew. "The work being done there is so important and so necessary that I felt, deep down in my soul, the need to help them continue their mission." Andrew and Crystal soon became sponsors of Wooby, a little boy in Haiti who is under our care.
In my experience I know that sponsorship will change the life of a child. That is certainly true of Wooby, but if you ask Andrew and Crystal, they'll tell you that their lives that have been changed, too.
"Danita's Children has become a huge part of my life. Sponsorship has helped me to see beyond my own wants; it has helped me to understand my faith. Most of all, it has helped me to understand how little it takes to make a difference in the life of a child that deserves a chance at hope," Andrew notes.
Through sponsorship Wooby now has access to food, clothing, education and medical care. Now in 3rd grade, Wooby is an excellent student and hopes to finish his education and become a farmer. Just two years ago, this dream would have been impossible. He is learning about a loving and saving God. Now, as a result of child sponsorship, three lives have seen benefit.

I am blessed with the opportunity to sponsor a child at the Hope for Haiti Children's Center. A special young boy named Likendley captured my heart on my first visit to the orphanage, and he is definitely one of the main reasons why I keep going back. He is a sensitive child who thrives from the hands that nurture and care for him.
I have the privilege of being one of those hands through sponsorship. It gives me great peace to know that Likendley is receiving a proper education, adequate nutrition and healthcare, and is being shown Christ every day of his life. God has definitely formed a bond between the two of us, and not a day goes by where I do not think and pray for my little boy in Haiti. Likendley loves having me as his sponsor, but what he doesn't know is what a blessing he is in my life!
If you don't already sponsor a child, I hope you will consider it.

In many trips to Danita's Children in Haiti, there is one thing that keeps us coming back.
It's not the dedicated hard-working staff, beautiful functional facilities, or Christ-centered focus on loving people. Those things are amazing and necessary. It's holding the hand of an orphan and giving them the love that they deserve. Nothing compares to the warmth your soul feels knowing that sponsoring a child gives them a hope and a future. Danita's Children is a proven organization dedicated to connecting needy kids and loving sponsors.

What a joy and honor it has been to be a part of Danita's Children's Sponsorship Program.
We met "our" children while we were in Haiti helping Danita adopt them. Their town had been completely demolished from flood waters and they were on their own. I fell in love with these two sisters as they followed me around and helped me care for the other children. Later I learned why they were clinging so tightly to me. They had also just lost their mother and a baby brother during childbirth. They were looking for a mother.
After the girls were settled into Danita's orphanage for awhile, their father showed up and requested to take them home. He had been out of town working when the floods came. Both Danita and I prayed that God would keep my girls safe. One morning while I was praying, I knew that I was doing warfare for my girls. A few hours later Danita called me and said, "Pray hard for your girls today. Their father has been shot and killed right in front of them." I thought of all the children that were saved from the floods and why God had me pick these two sisters. I wondered why they had to go through so much.
I later learned that their father was a godly man and had read God's Word and prayed with the girls everyday and had been loving and kind to them. It was a blessing to know that, even in this time of tragedy, the girls would always have it in their hearts that their father loved them and came and found them. The staff at Danita's told me that my girls are the most confident and adjusted girls because of everything God has brought them through.
It has been a beautiful thing to love my girls from miles away and yet feel so close. Thank you, Danita and staff, for taking such good care of my girls and making this program available so that I can be a part of their lives.
Blessings,
