What some of our sponsors have to say...

Sponsor_HeatherI am blessed with the opportunity to sponsor a child at the Hope for Haiti Children's Center. A special young boy named Likendley captured my heart on my first visit to the orphanage, and he is definitely one of the main reasons why I keep going back. He is a sensitive child who thrives from the hands that nurture and care for him.

I have the privilege of being one of those hands through sponsorship. It gives me great peace to know that Likendley is receiving a proper education, adequate nutrition and healthcare, and is being shown Christ every day of his life. God has definitely formed a bond between the two of us, and not a day goes by where I do not think and pray for my little boy in Haiti. Likendley loves having me as his sponsor, but what he doesn't know is what a blessing he is in my life!

If you don't already sponsor a child, I hope you will consider it.

In many trips to Danita's Children in Haiti, there is one thing that keeps us coming back.
It's not the dedicated hard-working staff, beautiful functional facilities, or Christ-centered focus on loving people. Those things are amazing and necessary. It's holding the hand of an orphan and giving them the love that they deserve. Nothing compares to the warmth your soul feels knowing that sponsoring a child gives them a hope and a future. Danita's Children is a proven organization dedicated to connecting needy kids and loving sponsors.

photo_DaleWhat a joy and honor it has been to be a part of Danita's Children's Sponsorship Program.

We met "our" children while we were in Haiti helping Danita adopt them. Their town had been completely demolished from flood waters and they were on their own. I fell in love with these two sisters as they followed me around and helped me care for the other children. Later I learned why they were clinging so tightly to me. They had also just lost their mother and a baby brother during childbirth. They were looking for a mother.

After the girls were settled into Danita's orphanage for awhile, their father showed up and requested to take them home. He had been out of town working when the floods came. Both Danita and I prayed that God would keep my girls safe. One morning while I was praying, I knew that I was doing warfare for my girls. A few hours later Danita called me and said, "Pray hard for your girls today. Their father has been shot and killed right in front of them." I thought of all the children that were saved from the floods and why God had me pick these two sisters. I wondered why they had to go through so much.

photo_BarbI later learned that their father was a godly man and had read God's Word and prayed with the girls everyday and had been loving and kind to them. It was a blessing to know that, even in this time of tragedy, the girls would always have it in their hearts that their father loved them and came and found them. The staff at Danita's told me that my girls are the most confident and adjusted girls because of everything God has brought them through.

It has been a beautiful thing to love my girls from miles away and yet feel so close. Thank you, Danita and staff, for taking such good care of my girls and making this program available so that I can be a part of their lives.

Blessings,
