Welcome to the Tell 5 Project!

Did you know you can make a big difference in orphan rescue and care just by telling others about the work at Danita’s Children? One of the best ways you can support us is to share with others about the global orphan crisis, and what Danita’s Children is doing to answer that need. If each of us "tell five" people that we know, the word will spread like wildfire, and more and more children will be able to receive love and care as our ministry to them grows.

As a Tell 5 participant, we are asking you to distribute Tell 5 cards to five of your friends, family members, co-workers or classmates who do not yet know about Danita’s Children. Tell them about our ministry, why you care about orphans in Haiti, and why they should, too! Before you know it, the impact you have made for children in Haiti will be too large for you to count!

Here’s how it works:

1. Contact our stateside office to request your Tell 5 cards. You can do this by calling 407.805.9532, emailing us at usoffice@danitaschildren.org, or through our Contact Us page on this website. You’ll need to let us know:
a. Your name, address, email (if applicable) and phone number
b. How many cards you would like us to send to you
c. How you heard about the Tell 5 Project
d. How you would like to cover the cost of the shipping (by check or secure online donation).

2. Begin to educate yourself about the vision, mission, current projects and future goals of Danita’s Children. If you’re going to be telling your friends about us, they’re probably going to have questions! An informed participant is an effective participant.

3. Hand out your Tell 5 cards, and share with your friends about Danita’s Children!

4. Get Creative! There are many ways to use your personal skills, interests and personality to share with others your passion for orphans care and Danita’s Children. For example, invite your friends over to watch your favorite team’s game. During a commercial break, hit the “mute” button and briefly share with them about Danita’s Children. Hand them a Tell 5 card of their way out! Or, if you like to bake, make some brownies for your office or classroom, and lay them out with cards beside them, inviting your friends or co-workers to take a brownie and a card. If you own a store, toss a Tell 5 card in your customers’ bags as they leave, and ask them to check out the website. Whatever your interest is, YOU have the power to use it for the good of orphans in Haiti!

Tell 5 Ambassadors

To implement the Tell 5 project all over the US and abroad, we need many participants and leaders! The Tell 5 Ambassador program is for individuals who want to go the extra mile, and really take on a leadership role in their geographical area.

Ambassadors will receive training from DC staff on standards for Tell 5 presentations, the responsibility of being a Danita’s Children representative, and other topics important to our ministry. Each Ambassador will be sent a Tell 5 Packet that includes an informational DVD, presentation materials and guidelines, downloadable Tell 5 cards to send to everyone on your contact list, and other important materials.

Upon finishing training, Tell 5 Ambassadors will be leaders to Tell 5 participants, and will be encouraging others to get involved in the project! It's fun and easy to share your passion, and to Tell 5! If you are interested in becoming a Tell 5 Ambassador, contact our office now!
