If you'd like to stretch your dollars even further, consider organizing a fundraiser in your church or community. We will use this space to give you a few of our own ideas, and share with you some of the best ones we've heard. There have been little boys who begged their parents to help them with a dinner which they served to their adoring guests. Some girls from a dance class gave one Saturday to do a car wash and sent the proceeds to Danita's Chidlren. A single man organized a shoe drive and delivered them to Haiti. Others have been creative in their own ways.
We know that once people hear about the rescue and care for orphans here in Haiti, they'll want to join in. And what better way to share the news that you--our best ambassadors!
Often you can locate a corporate sponsor who will match any funds that you raise. They get a tax deduction and you have an extra incentive for potential donors.
So take a look at the ideas below and let us know of some of your own!

Shoes for Orphans
Mike Shirico heard about the orphans in Haiti and, being a runner himself, decided to create aware of the need for shoes for these children. He actually raised enough to buy 50? pair of shoes and then wanted to bring them to Haiti himself. As you can see, the children were overjoyed with the shoes and getting to meet Mike!

Christmas Dinner
Upon hearing about the hunger of many children in Haiti, (Name) wanted to do something to help. So they asked their mom to cook a Christmas dinner and invited family and friends to come for a donation to Danita's Chidlren.

Car Wash of Hope
Two dance class students heard their teacher tell about life in Haiti, and these girls decided to have a car wash to raise money to send to the children. Every gift to Danita's Children matters as we all work together.
