Orphans from Gonaives
The destruction left by the horrendous hurricanes and floods of October 2004 was overwhelming to the stricken town of Gonaives, Haiti. Over a thousand people died overnight, and left in the wake of the storm were countless orphans. Danita and her team traveled over makeshift roads and creek beds to rescue 26 of these children, and today they live and thrive at the Hope for Haiti Children’s Center.
